I make these dog treats for my pack and usually vary what veggies I add depending on the time of year.

Ingredients

1 - 2 each apple
1 each sweet potato
1 cup parsley      View Available Products
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt

Step by Step Instructions
  1. put the veggies (including the parsley) and fruit (remove the apple seeds) into a food processor and grind them up. Add the canolia oil into the food processor and mix with the fruit and veggies.
  2. then transfer the fruit and veggies into large bowl and add the dry ingredients and mix by hand. You may need to add some water or veggie stock to the mixture. You want to achive a soft cookie dough consistancy.
  3. I then pack this mixture on a cookie sheet. Cook in slow oven (250 degrees)for about 30 minutes. Then I remove and slice up sheet and place cookies in food dehydrator. They last a long time in the cookie jar if dehydrated.
  4. If you choose not to dehydrate then store in freezer or refrigerator. I have also form little round dough balls and flattened with a fork but this is very time consuming.
