All Purpose Marinade

You can use this as a quick and easy marinade for just about everything. Then pop the item on the grill and keep the heat outside! You can save this in the fridge for a week or so (if you don’t marinate meat products.)

Serves: Several grilling episodes


Ingredients
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup olive oil
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
3 cloves garlic
1 small onion or shallot, minced
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
A bunch Tofu (extrafirm, fresh or frozen), summer squash, onions, peppers, cherry toms, carrots, kale, broccoli, and/or cauliflower

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients in large container with sealing lid (easiest) or large bowl.
  2. Prepare the vegetables or tofu to be grilled (cubes, large slabs, or arranged on skewers). Add to marinade. If in sealable container, invert a few times every 15min or so. Leave in the refrigerator for 2hrs or more.
  3. Grill away.
